Ancona Duck
Ancona are our newest breed 3 years into them. They are not a recognized breed within the APA but hoping to be recognized within a couple years. They have random markings of white and color, but different markings then the Magpie breed. I have a small group of birds consisting of Black, Blue, Lavender and Silver so will hatch out any color. They are smaller then the Pekin and go broody in the summer, lay a consistent amount of eggs.
Muscovy Duck
Muscovy are our longest owned breed of 8 years. Muscovy can live up to 15 years old, so we still have some originals here. My birds come in many colors, Black, Blue, Chocolate, Blue Fawn, White and Silver. They are not like other duck breeds they have a mind of their own. They rather hang out with their own kind unlike other breeds, and are easily tame, I always trip over mine. They do fly and prefer to perch, and are not consistent layers but broodiest of all. They will hatch between 10-20 ducklings in a sit and are very protective mammas.
Buff & Sebastopol Geese
We own a trio of Buff geese and a Colored Sebastopol Gander with a Smooth Saddleback Goose and Curly Saddleback Goose. They are our flock protectors and lookouts for when someone comes into the yard. They are very chill geese not aggressive unless they have babies. Beautiful colored birds!
